An old Chinese proverb says "Famous mountains produce famous tea". The Yellow Mountains region in the remote and pristine Anhui province of China is famous for growing the highest quality green tea and provides the plant from which the extract for the tigovit capsules is made.
China's best harvest of green tea for tigovit and tigosol
Every year, Tanja Hohenester, founder of tigovit, gives the Tea plantation in China where the extract for their green tea products comes from. "I am very happy to be able to see for myself how naturally the green tea plants for tigovit are grown and how carefully the plants are harvested by hand.
The people who work there see it as their mission to grow green tea of the most natural quality, without sprays, without genetic engineering and without any pollutants. Such purity in organic quality is rare to find and I am proud to be able to secure this harvest every year for the tigovit capsules."
Organic green tea: no pesticides, no genetic engineering
For more than 20 years, green tea has been grown on this certified organic tea plantation in Anhui province. This guarantees soil purity that has not been in contact with pollutants and pesticides for several decades and where the plants can grow in isolation without exhaust fumes or pollution.
The cultivation area is not far from the Yellow Mountains, which are one of the most famous and beautiful mountain regions in China. Due to the excellent climatic and environmental conditions, the green tea plants from this mountain region are said to have more catechin polyphenols than those from other growing regions.
Around 5 hours from Shanghai, high in the mountains, lies the cultivation area for tigovit's pure EGCG, which grows on one of the world's few certified organic green tea plantations. The Yellow Mountains are one of the most famous and beautiful mountain regions in China and were declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1990. Because of the excellent growing conditions in the high mountain climate, green tea plants from this mountain region are said to have more catechin polyphenols than those from other growing regions in China.
The outstanding cultivation area in Anhui provides the basis for the natural purity of tigovit. The fields on which the green plants grow are not treated with pesticides. The cultivation is carried out purely according to organic standards and without the use of genetic engineering. In addition, the tea fields are located high and isolated so that the plants are not contaminated by exhaust fumes or the like.
The multiple residue analysis, which is carried out for tigovit independently of the producer in Germany, confirms the high and pure quality that makes tigovit a naturally pure and pollutant-free premium product among the Green tea preparations highlights.
