Why organic does not automatically mean top quality

EGCG is the main active ingredient in green tea, which is said to have numerous health benefits, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and possibly anti-cancer properties. To achieve such a high concentration, it is necessary to process the green tea extract in an elaborate process that goes beyond what would be possible in a conventional certified organic process.

 

Why can't EGCG be certified organic?
